Students are admitted to our department's first education (daytime) program through various channels, including the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) based on their scores in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). Additionally, international students, vertical transfer students, intra-institutional and inter-institutional transfer students, and those transferring with central placement scores are eligible for admission. On average, 110 students are admitted annually to our department's first education program through ÖSYM exams. Furthermore, students from universities with which we have protocol agreements can study in our department for a limited period as temporary students through the Farabi, Mevlana, and Erasmus exchange programs.
Our undergraduate psychology program operates as a first education (daytime) program. The regular duration of the undergraduate program is eight semesters, while the maximum duration is fourteen. The language of instruction is 70% Turkish and 30% English. Newly enrolled students must complete a mandatory English preparatory class at our university's School of Foreign Languages. The regular duration of the English preparatory class is two semesters, while the maximum duration is four semesters. Students who exceed this period without successfully completing the preparatory class are transferred to a similar program taught 100% in Turkish by ÖSYM. Students who successfully complete the English preparatory class within the designated period begin their undergraduate studies as first-semester students. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can study at partner universities in Turkey or abroad for a limited period through the Farabi, Mevlana, and Erasmus exchange programs.
To be eligible for graduation, students must fulfill specific academic requirements. These include:
Upon graduation, students who fulfill these requirements receive a "Psychology Undergraduate Program" diploma. No specific title is granted upon graduation. Students who complete all required courses and meet the graduation criteria may graduate in a shorter period.
